Cook Smarts Does Whole30 for the Month of January
With so many members interested in Whole30 at the beginning of every new year, we’ll be making all of our Paleo dinners Whole30 compliant for the month of January 2019!
Over the years, we’ve seen so many of our members successfully take on Whole30 to start the new year. If you’re not familiar with Whole30, we did a whole article on what it is, what the benefits are, and who should give it a try here.
Because we’re meal planners and not dietitians, we’re definitely not in the business of giving diet advice; however, we just love helping our members meet their eating and cooking goals. Many of you want to give Whole30 a try, and we want to make it as easy for you as possible.
. . . Which is why we’ll be making all of January’s Paleo meals Whole30-friendly!
If you’re excited to join us and don’t have a membership to our meal plan service yet, we’re giving everyone a free trial month (no payment info required, no strings attached) to ring in the new year!
Whole30 Meal Plans
In the past, most of our members doing Whole30 just had to make very small tweaks to the Paleo versions of our meals. The two diets are quite similar though they have different philosophies and end goals. (More of that addressed in our Whole30 article.)
However, this year we’ll make sure all of our Paleo meals meet the rules of the Whole30 program for the month of January 2019. All you need to do is select the Paleo option on your weekly menus and if you’re looking for a full week’s worth of Whole30 dinners, just add meals from our Archives. It’s super easy to just omit the non-Whole30 compliant ingredients like sweeteners from our Paleo meals.
“Using Cook Smarts’ Paleo recipes with some minor adjustments made Whole30 easy. I learned that most recipes are still amazing without the sweeteners like honey or brown sugar. Try it. It’s only 30 days! I loved how I felt and what I learned about my eating habits.”
– Elissa M.
If you’ve been letting yourself indulge this holiday season (as you should — that’s what the holidays are for!) and will be looking for a way to reset your gut and health next month, then come join us this January for Whole30, Cook Smarts-style!
A Community to Cheer You On
Knowing this community, there will be lots of emotional and cooking support in our Kitchen Heroes Facebook group. It’s so much easier to make new changes and adopt new habits when you’re surrounded by others who are also doing the same.
Here’s what a few of our members had to say about their Whole30 experience. I’m sure they’ll be excited to do it again and support any newbies doing it for the first time!
“So we’ve been adapting the Paleo recipes to Whole30 – and the results have been delicious! Here’s the Turkish Lamb over Sweet Potatoes with a green salad with citrus and pomegranate – so delicious!”
– Brian P.
“The Korean Steak Stir-Fry was incredible. I couldn’t believe it came together in just 5 minutes after doing the prep in advance! I’m currently doing Whole30 so I couldn’t use butter or honey but I squeezed some clementine juice into my marinade for something sweet and it came out perfect.”
– Audrey S.
Whether you plan on doing Whole30 or not in January, starting the year with a new meal planning habit will definitely help you meet your health and budget goals for 2019!
While I definitely could not stick to any diet that had me eliminating entire food groups forever, I love that this is just 30 days, which make it more doable if I plan on giving this a try next month. I’m always saying how time flies, so hopefully these 30 days will feel the same way.
I am, however, in month 4 of my 3rd pregnancy, so we’ll just have to see how my body responds. I did have gestational diabetes with both of my previous pregnancies and had to really cut down on carbs and increase my intake of healthy fats, so doing Whole30 might actually be perfect. I’ll keep you all posted in our incredibly amazing and supportive Facebook group!
