Since breakfast is so important to jumpstart the body with nutrients for the day, I wanted to do a quick poll:
Do you regularly eat breakfast?
(Sorry, a 16 oz cup of coffee does not count, even if it’s integral to your morning routine.)
If yes, what do you normally eat?
- Unhealthy carbs (cereal, pop tarts, sweet muffins and donuts, etc.)
- Expensive, sugary Starbucks beverages
- Something healthy (yay! This can be scrambled eggs, omelets packed with veggies, whole grain pancakes, etc.)
If no, what’s keeping you from fitting in breakfast?
- My alarm really needs those extra 2 snoozes
- Breakfast food doesn’t appeal to me
- Putting out the kids’ fires takes all morning
- I’m late, I have no time, I’m on a diet, and breakfast is simply the easiest meal to skip!
I totally believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but also realize that it can be the most difficult meal to fit in. Finding time to make yourself a quick breakfast before getting the kids off to school, fighting through a long commute, or rushing to way-too-early meetings is no easy task.
But, we are about to change this!
The key to solving the no-time-in-the-morning problem is a make-ahead breakfast recipe. Our refrigerated or frozen breakfasts can be made completely ahead of time, so regardless of how hectic your morning routine is, cooking an inexpensive breakfast that aligns with your Google Keep food budget isn’t something you have to worry about.
