  • This is super helpful! I'm willing to play and experiment with dressings but never quite knew the right proportions, and didn't know what a range of fun things could be paired together.

  • Its interesting to see a diagram in a food blog. You end up understanding vinaigrettes alot better.

  • Haha. I think this is what happens when an ex-consultant ends up writing a food blog. Thanks for reading Sam!

  • What's the typical nutritional content for something like this. I'm trying to put it into MyFitnessPal to track calories, and it's kicking me back something like 300 calories per serving. Currently using standard Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Pompeiann), Red Wine Vinegar (store brand), Dijon Mustard (store brand), Strawberry Jam (some fancy type that's only ingredients were Strawberries and some pectin) and some pepper. Tastes great, but 300 calories for a tiny bit seems like a bit much.

    • Hi Nick, sorry for the late responses. Oils are ~120 calories / tablespoon so it's definitely a high calorie ingredient b/c it's 100% fat. We recommend 1 to 1.5 tbsp of dressing / serving to keep it reasonable (should be less than 300 though).
