Reduce Your Stress with this Weekly Cooking Habit
Meal prep is the key to faster meals on weeknights, but I know procrastination is hard to beat. Get ready for this cooking challenge and amazing community support to make all the difference!
I’ve watched a lot of people try to get dinner on the table over the years, and there’s no question that the members who have a system for prepping ahead experience a lot less weeknight stress.
Yes, it takes a bit of planning and effort upfront, but it’s one of those habits that has huge payoffs and doesn’t actually require any additional work. You were gonna chop the broccoli and the onions anyway; all you’re doing is changing when you do the work. So instead of waiting till after work and school when everyone is tired and hungry, you get the bulk of the pre-cooking work done on a weekend and remove many of the steps standing between you and a home-cooked meal.
But like all good habits, I know it’s not that simple. If it was, we’d all be doing it. Believe me, I get that come Sunday night, it is much more tempting to collapse in front of Netflix than it is to get your butt back in the kitchen, figure out what you need to prep for the week (though our meal plan service outlines it all for you), and then do the prep.
But if you make the commitment to prepping ahead, your weeknights will be truly transformed. We have thousands of meal plan members who can attest to that.
